In short
We ask for as little as we can, and use it only to answer you, look after your appointment and thank you afterwards.
- The contact form sends your message to us by email. The website keeps no copy.
- Booking happens on Fresha, not on this website.
- We count visits with Google Analytics. There is no advertising tracking on this site.
- We never sell, rent or trade anyone’s details.
Who we are
This website belongs to Nafanny Spa, Alto Vista 39-F, Noord, Aruba. For anything on this page, write to us or call:
When you send us a message
The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message; a subject is optional. When you press “Send message”, the website emails these to us. It does not keep a copy of your message.
The email we receive also shows the time it was sent and the internet (IP) address it came from. We use those only to stop the form being abused. The server makes a note in its technical log that a message was sent, and from which email address.
We use what you send to answer you and to arrange your visit. After a treatment we may send you one message to thank you and to ask for a review. Nothing else: we do not add you to a mailing list.
Our mailboxes are provided by Hostinger and by Microsoft (Outlook), so messages are held on their systems as part of our mail. If you reach us by email, phone or WhatsApp instead, the same applies; WhatsApp messages also pass through WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy.
When you book
Online booking is run by Fresha, a booking service used by salons and spas. When you tap a “Book” button, you leave this website for Fresha’s. What you enter there — your name, contact details, the appointment and any payment details — is collected by Fresha under its own privacy notice, and shared with us so that we can look after your appointment.
Visits to this website
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and how often someone taps Book, WhatsApp, a phone number, our email address, the map or our reviews. It shows us what is useful on the site. It does not tell us who you are.
Analytics records the pages you open, the kind of device and browser you use, and roughly where you are — the country and city, worked out from your internet address, which Google does not keep. To recognise a returning visitor, it stores small files (cookies) in your browser, with names beginning “_ga”, for up to two years.
If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, those cookies are not set at all: Analytics works without them there, and only estimates visits.
Everything to do with advertising is switched off, for every visitor. Your visit is not used to show you adverts or to build a profile of you.
The map
The map on our Contact page comes from Google Maps. When that page shows the map, your browser fetches it from Google, which receives your internet address and may store its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.
What the website itself keeps
Very little. Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, this website sets no cookies. It stores one small note in your browser — your answer when it offered you the page in another language — so that it does not ask again. That note stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Like almost every website, the service that hosts these pages may record technical details of each request, such as the internet address, the page asked for and the time. They are used to keep the site secure and working.
Who sees your details
Only we do, together with the services named on this page that make the website work: Fresha for bookings, Google for visit statistics and the map, our email providers, and the company that hosts the website. We do not sell, rent or trade personal details, and we do not pass them to anyone for advertising.
How long we keep things
We keep messages and booking details for as long as we need them to look after you as a guest and to keep the records a business must keep, and no longer.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address above and we will answer. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
If the website changes in a way that affects any of this, we will update this page.
