The short answer
For a massage on a cruise day in Aruba, allow about two hours of your time in port. Nafanny Spa is about 20 minutes by taxi from the cruise terminal in Oranjestad, so that covers the ride there, ten minutes to settle in, a 60-minute massage and the ride back. Reserve your time before you arrive, and check the day you are in port. Open Monday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Sunday: closed.
Getting from the ship to the spa
Cruise ships dock in Oranjestad, on the northern side of downtown. The spa is inland, at Alto Vista 39-F, Noord, Aruba, about 20 minutes away by taxi.
Taxis in Aruba have no meters. Fares are fixed and approved by the government, and up to four people travel for the same fare, so ask the price before you set off and arrange with the driver when to pick you up. You can look up the fare for a journey at taxi.aw.
How much time to allow
- Taxi to the spa: about 20 minutes.
- Arriving and settling in: 10 minutes, which lets us start on time.
- Your massage: 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes.
- Taxi back to the terminal: about 20 minutes.
Then add a comfortable margin. Your ship’s all-aboard time is earlier than its sailing time, and the ship will not wait.
What to book for a day in port
With most of a day ashore, a 60-minute massage takes about two hours of it, door to door. If the ship is only in for a few hours, look at our two shortest massages.
